Questions about the Scouting Link
Do I need a location of my own?
No. All you need is a free SetScout account. You get your Scouting Link right after signing up.
How much do I earn?
2% of the booking value of every eligible booking your referred hosts receive. With more active hosts your rate grows: 3% from 100 active hosts, 4% from 250 active hosts, and 5% from 500 active hosts.
How long do I earn commission?
With no end date: for every eligible booking, as long as your referred hosts rent out through SetScout.
Which bookings count?
Paid bookings of your referred hosts that were booked after they signed up through your link and whose shooting period has ended. Cancelled bookings don't count, and refunds are deducted.
How are hosts assigned to me?
Through your link or your Scout Code at sign-up. The code has to be entered when signing up; existing accounts can't be assigned afterwards.
When and how am I paid?
Once a month by transfer to your bank account, through our payment provider Stripe. For that you verify yourself once with Stripe. You only need to once you have earned commission: we'll let you know by email.
Do my hosts pay more for this?
No. SetScout pays your commission. Hosts and the people booking pay exactly the same as without a Scouting Link.
Can I refer myself?
No. Your own accounts don't count, and neither do bookings where you are the host or the one booking.
